Introdução: A Atenção Primária em Saúde é a porta de entrada do Sistema Único de Saúde e possui atributos essenciais e derivados para sua consolidação no Brasil. Objetivo: Avaliar o atributo derivado orientação familiar, na perspectiva dos enfermeiros da Estratégia Saúde da Família. Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, transversal quantitativo realizado no período de março a maio de 2021, com 14 enfermeiros das Estratégias Saúde da Família do município de Santa Maria, que responderam o instrumento PCATool-Brasil (versão profissionais) e um questionário sociodemográfico de forma online. Resultados: O atributo derivado apresentou um escore de 7,9 considerado um elevado grau de orientação familiar. Conclusão: A avaliação, presença e extensão desse atributo, promove a garantia de um cuidado integral, universal e de qualidade para as famílias adscritas nas Estratégias Saúde da Família.
