Abstract
A Campanha dos Bancos no Canadá foi um esforço conjunto de diversos movimentos sociais, ONGs e igrejas que buscavam denunciar os empréstimos e investimentos feitos por bancos canadenses ao governo do Apartheid. A ação militante da sociedade civil canadense se junta a uma rede transnacional de apoio ao movimento antiapartheid. Reino Unido, Estados Unidos e países da comunidade europeia compõem parte dessa mobilização. O presente artigo irá analisar a Campanha dos Bancos canadense entre os anos 70 e 80, compreendendo sua atividade como pertencente a uma rede transnacional de advocacia e agindo como um ponto de pressão internacional. A investigação terá por base o uso de fontes documentais, com a análise se dando sobre as publicações da revista TCLSAC Reports, do coletivo militante Toronto Committee for the Liberation of Southern Africa. A Campanha dos Bancos foi explorada através de um recorte de artigos da revista, destacando as relações locais, nacionais e globais da ação política contenciosa do grupo. Através da análise se destacou a capacidade de articulação deste coletivo com elementos em diferentes escalas e com um alto fluxo de informações.
