Abstract
Le présent article a pour objectif de poser un jalon dans la constitution d’une généalogie des désirs hétérodoxes en littérature québécoise francophone, et d’étudier La fin de la joie (1945) de Jacqueline Mabit et Visage de fièvre (1960) de Viviane Da Silva, deux œuvres aujourd’hui oubliées qui ont pourtant textualisé le désir lesboérotique avant l’émergence de la « première génération » d’écrivaines lesbiennes des années 1970. Il s’agit d’étudier les stratégies de refus (du deuil et de la fin chez Mabit, de l’hétérosexualité chez Da Silva) comme manières de textualiser le désir amoureux et sexuel entre femmes. C’est précisément à travers la négation que le désir émerge dans les deux œuvres et qu’il permet une interrogation de l’hétérosexualité comme institution dominante. Malgré certaines caractéristiques narratives conservatrices, La fin de la joie et Visage de fièvre font scission avec certaines normes, attentes et discours dominants.
