Abstract

We perform multimode optomechanical spectroscopy of a diamond microdisk cavity optomechanical device, and observe mechanical modes with frequencies between 1 and 11 GHz with mechanical quality factors up to 14,000 and simulated optomechanical coupling exceeding 2π × 50 kHz per phonon. This study expands the versatility of diamond microdisks for spin-mechanical coupling and studies of multimode quantum optomechanics.
