Abstract
Članek se navezuje na novo monografijo o gradu Turjak in rodu Turjaških, ki je izšla leta 2020 v uredništvu Mihe Preinfalka in sodelavcev. Avtor izpostavlja posamezne teme iz zgodnje zgodovine Turjaških, predvsem vprašanje statusa njihovega gospostva (alod ali fevd), in jih dopolnjuje ali interpretira v drugačni luči, kot je to v monografiji. Pri tem opozarja na pomen cerkvene organizacije na tem teritoriju in njene odvisnosti od oglejskega patriarha. Pred tem pa se posveti posestvu, ki ga je kralj Henrik IV. v letih 1058 in 1062 podelil salzburškemu vazalu Anzu, turjaškemu sosedu.
