Analisa a atuação do Instituto von Mises Brasil e do Instituto Rothbard na conformação de uma governamentalidade neoliberal no Brasil, contribuindo para a internalização, nas instituições e subjetividades, de uma concepção de educação ultraliberal. É um estudo bibliográfico e documental que insere esses think tanks nos processos históricos mundiais e nacionais. O conceito de governamentalidade neoliberal de Dardot e Laval (2016) e sua extensão efetuada por Brown (2019), complementada com o uso crítico de Mises, Hayek e Rothbard, são os filtros utilizados. As principais conclusões indicam que a atuação dessas organizações e sua concepção de educação são parte de um movimento mais global de reação ideológica à crise financeira de 2008 bem como um desdobramento da atuação da nova direita no Brasil. Na educação, essa concepção envolve a desqualificação do ensino público e obrigatório, propondo uma educação centrada em estratégias de privatização extrema.
