Abstract
Dès la fin du xix e siècle les universités françaises voient les femmes prendre place sur les bancs des facultés. L’Université de Lille n’échappe pas à cette évolution et diplôme ses premières étudiantes à cette même période. Grâce à l’étude approfondie des sources disponibles, l’article développe le cas des facultés lilloises face à l’apparition des premières étudiantes dans ses murs à travers leurs profils scolaire et social ainsi que leurs origines géographiques, leur insertion dans la vie étudiante lilloise et leur parcours professionnel. L’étude s’attache, à travers le développement de quelques parcours d’étudiantes considérées comme emblématiques ou représentatives, à retracer cette profonde transformation de l’enseignement supérieur.
