Abstract

Ce chapitre présente les résultats d’un travail de recherche effectué auprès d’entrepreneurs immigrants maghrébins à Montréal. Ces entrepreneurs ont choisi d’investir le marché des produits religieux musulmans. Nous avons mis l’accent sur l’influence des dimensions religieuses dans les pratiques managériales et entrepreneuriales de ces entrepreneurs. Des entretiens semi-directifs ont été effectués auprès de quarante-cinq entrepreneuses et entrepreneurs dans la région de Montréal. Les résultats montrent un effet important des valeurs religieuses et spirituelles sur les décisions et les pratiques managériales des entrepreneurs. Nous avons constaté également que la dimension religieuse permet de dépasser l’opposition nécessité/opportunité associée aux motivations entrepreneuriales. Les résultats révèlent également que les stratégies managériales des entrepreneurs varient selon leur degré de croyance et de pratiques religieuses. À partir de nos résultats, nous proposons un modèle décrivant le processus de prise de décision du choix entrepreneurial des immigrants musulmans.
