Abstract
Ce travail se fixe deux objectifs. Premièrement, comprendre les difficultés rencontrées par les prêtres missionnaires expatriés d’Afrique en France dans leur intégration en paroisse en France. Deuxièmement cerner leurs stratégies d’ajustement. Nous appuyant sur les témoignages de 34 prêtres missionnaires africains et 20 de leurs paroissiens, nos résultats montrent qu’ils font face à un accueil des prêtres autochtones limité qui les conduit à développer des stratégies d’ajustement actives où les paroissiens jouent un rôle clé de soutien social. Ces résultats montrent la difficulté de l’expression religieuse au travail dans une structure pourtant dédiée à la religion. Ce faisant, nous enrichissons la littérature sur l’expression religieuse au travail d’une dimension interculturelle dans un contexte peu étudié.
