Bibliometría de trabajos de grado en Endodoncia de la Facultad de Odontología de la Universidad de Los Andes, 2009-2019

Abstract
la Endodoncia es la rama de la odontología que analiza la estructura, morfología, fisiología y patología de la pulpa dental y de los tejidos perirradiculares; forma parte del pensum de la Facultad de Odontología de la Universidad de Los Andes (FOULA) y constituye una fuente importante para la producción de Trabajos Especiales de Grado (TEG), que pueden ser analizados mediante la bibliometría. Objetivo: identificar el comportamiento de los indicadores bibliométricos de los TEG de pregrado de Endodoncia de la FOULA 2009-2019. Metodología: la investigación tuvo nivel descriptivo y diseño documental, el material de análisis estuvo conformado por 28 TEG de Endodoncia, la técnica de recolección de datos fue el análisis de contenido cuantitativo y el instrumento utilizado una matriz de contenido. Resultados: los TEG de Endodoncia representaron el 6,26% de los 447 trabajos realizados en la FOULA, de los cuales el 64,29% fueron tutorados por profesores de dicha cátedra, la terapia endodóntica representó el 21,43% de los trabajos, se presentó una media general de 12,07 antecedentes y 61,54 referencias por TEG, el 82,14% utilizó Vancouver, el enfoque más empleado fue el cuantitativo, el tipo de investigación el descriptivo, el diseño transversal y experimental, la técnica de recolección la observación y la observación asistida técnicamente (36,36%), el análisis de datos el descriptivo solo (36%) y el software el SPSS (21%). Conclusiones: solo el 21,43% presentaron una taxonomía adecuada en cuanto a enfoque, tipo y diseño de investigación. Se recomienda mejorar la comunicación entre tutores y profesores del Departamento de Investigación.
