We have designed an integrated photonic image rejection filter for use in an optical beamforming network. Ring resonator-based image rejection topology is adapted to achieve a maximally flat passband transmission and a low delay dispersion simultaneously. Additionally, a pseudo elliptic image rejection filter is designed with a group delay ripple of < 1 ps and a suppression of more than 35 dB to demonstrate its viability in an optical beamforming network.
