Abstract
Pulse-jet air filter is a maintenance-free filter suitable for high dust environment of armored vehicles, which is often installed with a narrow trapezoidal filter element to achieve modular design of the intake system and high power density of the powertrain. In order to solve the difficult problem of ash removal in the narrow structure of trapezoidal filter element, a new supersonic nozzle with Laval nozzle and V-shaped deflector is designed based on the ash removal theory and the demand characteristics of ash removal force distribution of trapezoidal filter element. By computational fluid dynamics, the flow field characteristics of the supersonic nozzle jet and ash removal airflow is studied, the influence of the key nozzle parameters on the ash removal effect is analyzed, and the influence of the key parameters of the new supersonic nozzle on the ash removal characteristics is obtained, which provides a new idea and reference for the design of pulse-jetair filter of high power density armored vehicles.
