L’hétérolinguisme au coeur du rap québécois contemporain : les cas de Loud et de Koriass

Abstract
Cet article porte sur la présence de l’anglais dans le rap québécois grand public, en particulier chez Koriass et Loud. En adoptant une approche mariant la littérature à la sociolinguistique, nous effectuerons un survol des usages linguistiques de leurs albums respectifs, sélectionnés à l’ADISQ en 2019, afin de brosser un portrait de la situation. Dans un second temps, nous examinerons les thèmes du soi, de la québécité et de la violence dans le rap à partir des données recueillies lors de notre examen des chansons. L’analyse des échanges hétérolingues montrera que, dans le rap de Koriass et de Loud, l’anglais vient s’ajouter à une base linguistique française. Le français demeure donc la langue dominante malgré l’usage de l’anglais.
