Abstract
Le 11 septembre 1973, Nadine Loubet, connue au Chili comme Sœur Odile, est confrontée au coup d’État militaire des Forces armées du général Pinochet. Le président socialiste du gouvernement d’Unité populaire, Salvador Allende, est retrouvé mort. Une intense répression s’abat sur la gauche chilienne. La dominicaine française prend alors la plume pour raconter l’horreur et documenter les exactions dans des carnets manuscrits, rédigés au jour le jour pendant un peu plus d’un an. Établie en secteurs populaires comme religieuse ouvrière, Nadine Loubet participe également aux actions de résistance qui s’organisent dans les poblaciones pour venir en aide aux personnes persécutées par le nouveau régime. Cinquante plus tard, ses carnets constituent une source inédite pour comprendre les conséquences du coup d’État dans les quartiers périphériques de Santiago mais aussi prendre la mesure de l’invisibilisation des témoignages féminins issus de l’Église.
