Abstract
The years of the renaissance of molecular photochemistry are the same of the contemporary mechanistic organic chemistry and the Photochemical Unit at UWO greatly contributed to both of them. This was founded by Paul de Mayo in 1974 and involved contributions by several great scientists, among whom Donald R Arnold.
