Abstract
Dans le cadre d’un PCR sur le golfe de Fos à l’époque antique, la reprise des données concernant plus particulièrement sa partie orientale nous permet aujourd’hui de présenter les datations C14 inédites de la nécropole de la pointe Vella. La chronologie du site est maintenant subdivisée en deux phases : une occupation grecque datée autour de 200 av. n. è., perturbée par l’installation d’une douzaine d’inhumations du premier Moyen Âge. Ce petit ensemble funéraire s’inscrit dans une zone, entre l’oppidum de Saint-Blaise et le port de Saint-Gervais, à Fos, où l’on trouve de nombreuses tombes à inhumation depuis le VIe s. av. n. è. jusqu’au IXe s. de n. è. Sa localisation, un peu éloignée de ces deux agglomérations, laisserait envisager la présence d’un établissement secondaire qu’il reste à identifier et localiser et qui aurait pu succéder à la villa antique de la Baumasse.
