Le mouvement d’ouverture des données offre l’opportunité aux institutions culturelles de partager plus largement leurs collections avec les publics et plus particulièrement avec la communauté de chercheurs nécessitant l’exploitation et la réutilisation de ressources documentaires. Le musée Saint-Raymond s’inscrit dans cette démarche et utilise les plateformes de diffusion sous licence libre pour publier les données d’inventaire et les images de ses collections archéologiques bénéficiant en retour des connaissances générées grâce au contexte du web des données liées. Retour d’expérience à travers quelques exemples puisés parmi les collections grecques du musée.
