Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui wilayah pusat pertumbuhan serta bagaimana interaksinya dengan wilayah hinterland . Selain itu untuk mengetahui sektor ekonomi unggulan pada tiap kabupaten/kota. Objek dalam penelitian ini yaitu kabupaten/kota yang membentuk Provinsi DIY. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder tahun 2016-2020 yang bersumber dari publikasi BPS dan instansi lainnya. Terdapat lima alat analisis kuantitatif yang digunakan untuk menjawab penelitian ini. Untuk menentukan pusat pertumbuhan digunakan analisis skalogram sedangkan untuk mengetahui interaksinya dengan wilayah hinterland digunakan analisis gravitasi. Sektor unggulan pada tiap wilayah kabupaten/kota diketahui dengan menggunakan analisis Shift Share, SLQ dan DLQ yang kemudian di overlay. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa wilayah yang dapat mempertahankan dirinya sebagai pusat pertumbuhan dalam lima tahun terakhir adalah Kabupaten Sleman, Kabupaten Gunung Kidul, dan Kota Yogyakarta. Pada tahun 2017, Kabupaten Bantul sebagai wilayah hinterland memiliki interaksi tertinggi dengan Kota Yogyakarta dan Kabupaten Kulon Progo sebagai wilayah hinterland memiliki interaksi tertinggi dengan Kabupaten Sleman. Sedangkan pada tahun 2020, Kabupaten Kulon Progo sebagai wilayah hinterland memiliki interaksi tertinggi dengan Kabupaten Sleman. Lalu, terdapat sektor unggulan pada tiap kabupaten/kota kecuali Kabupaten Bantul.
