Abstract
Partindo da noção que o Haiti representa um país de capitalismo periférico-dependente, procuraremos apresentar, com uma abordagem interdisciplinar, os principais traços estruturais da economia contemporânea do Haiti, dialogando com as diversas conjunturas políticas que atravessaram a nação e seus desdobramentos em todas as esferas da sociedade. O recorte temporal será feito a partir do antes e depois da catástrofe natural conhecida como o Terremoto de 2010, que assolou a sociedade como um todo e fez grandes estragos para a economia nacional
