Abstract

Digital twins of various objects created in edge clouds will form the essential foundation of the future digital world. Digital twin worlds of both physical and biological entities will be an essential platform for the new digital services of the future. The Internet of No Things represents an important stepping stone toward ushering in the 6G post-smartphone era and its underlying fusion of digital and real worlds created and delivered by non-traditional converged service platforms. This chapter explains how the Multiverse can be used to tie both online and offline worlds closer together in the Internet of No Things. The current fourth industrial revolution has been enabled through the Internet of Things in association with other emerging technologies, most notably cyber-physical systems. The chapter also presents an overview on the key concepts discussed in this book.
