Abstract
What do we as a society do when someone dies?It depends on our culture, societal, and familial norms.Perhaps we go to the family that experienced the loss of a loved one to express condolences.We would likely bring food so the family does not have to focus on such mundane things as feeding themselves, and yet, no one ever feels like eating.We might send a card, flowers, and attend a service or a Celebration of Life, if there is one.As time goes on, there might be less contact while the family lives their new reality and maybe wonders why the Earth does not stop spinning for even a little while.
