Esta propuesta editorial colectiva, cristalizada en El ojo intermedial II: hibridaciones genéricas y mediales, explora algunas perspectivas intermediales de los estudios cinematográficos. El reflejo de la compleja realidad mediática contemporánea se hace patente en la experimentación genérica y las propuestas híbridas, como la novela film, el making of, el b-roll, la e-literatura, la ficción documentada, el cine verde, la acción real-animada o el papel constructivo de la música. En ella consignamos pesquisas emprendidas desde el grupo de investigación al que pertenecemos los editores y parte de los autores aquí publicados: el Seminario de Estudios Cinematográficos (SEC) vinculado al Posgrado en Ciencias del Lenguaje del Instituto de Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades “Alfonso Vélez Pliego” de la Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla.Los capítulos incluidos en esta edición son producto de las propuestas temáticas convocadas en la Cuarta (2018) y la Quinta (2021) Jornadas de Estudios Cinematográficos del SEC, realizadas en la ciudad de Puebla. Más allá de la indagación intertextual o de la tradición filmoliteraria comparatista, identificada con frecuencia bajo la etiqueta de teoría de la adaptación, los acercamientos agrupados en estos libros promueven en nuestro campo un sugerente paradigma descentrado de estudios intermediales del cine, que haga justicia a la compleja realidad mediática contemporánea.
