Abstract
Na Guiana Francesa, nós podemos perceber uma forte presença da religião católica na vida de seus habitantes por meio do emprego sistemático de expressões em língua crioula. Essas expressões em crioulo guianense acentuam a cristianização desse Departamento Ultramarino cuja religião principal é, sem dúvidas, o catolicismo. Os guianenses se embebem dessa cultura dominante esquecendo, consequentemente, sua própria identidade. Assim, alguns autores, como Michel Lohier ou ainda Léon-Gontran Damas, para citar apenas alguns, propõem uma reescritura da Bíblia, em uma versão marronizada. Com efeito, esses autores ilustram por meio de seus textos a dupla identidade da língua crioula da América, dividida entre a cultura europeia e a africana.
