Abstract

As mudanças de perfil epidemiológico, consequentes do aumento da expectativa de vida e das condições crônicas de saúde, trazem a necessidade da integralidade do cuidado, capaz de contemplar as necessidades biopsicossociais de indivíduos, grupos e populações. Logo, no intuito de melhorar a colaboração e qualidade da atenção em saúde de modo interativo, tem-se a Educação Interprofissional, entendida como um processo de preparação de pessoas para a prática colaborativa, que abarca seis domínios de competências a serem desenvolvidos nos profissionais para promover os conhecimentos, habilidades, atitudes e valores essenciais. Esse estudo tem por objetivo apresentar e analisar a educação interprofissional e seus respectivos domínios na perspectiva do documento intitulado Canadian Interprofessional Health Collaborative, refletir sobre a formação acadêmica e as práticas em saúde no País. Trata-se de um estudo teórico que discute individualmente as competências interprofissionais e o seu desenvolvimento para uma melhor qualidade no atendimento prestado nos serviços de saúde. Conclui-se que a formação e a educação na saúde deve possibilizar uma reflexão crítica sobre as transformações e a atuação de profissionais no contexto da saúde fomentando a consolidação do cuidado centrado no usuário em uma perspectiva biopsicossocial.
