Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

View Video Presentation: https://doi.org/10.2514/6.2023-0789.vid A 63-element phased microphone array system is designed, analyzed, and tested. The design of the array follows the multi-spiral and odd number of element concepts to achieve non-redundancy. The Point Spread Function and simulation are utilized to investigate the impact of the microphone location errors and noise source coherence on the array performance. The effect of two types of array structures on microphone measurements is tested to select the preferred structure for the real array. Finally, the assembled array is tested with a 30P30N model in the Hybrid Anechoic Wind Tunnel at the University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies. It is found that the out of plane error of the microphone locations is more critical. Also found is that the solid board structure is not preferred when using free-field microphones on the array and when the measurement subject is a source of sound reflection. The performance of the developed phased array system is satisfactory.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
