Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

In this paper, the non-linear theory for the consolidation of soils accounting for secondary compression as developed by Alexandre and Thomasi (2022) [1] is applied to a sensitive clay from eastern Canada. Comparisons made between theory and experimental results of eight loading increments from the work of Crawford (1964) [2] suggest the potential of this new theory for modelling secondary compression of sensitive clays. In six of these loading increments a new procedure based on the work of Alexandre (2006) [3] is used in which the final strain is determined mathematically. Finally, it is shown how the final strains, as obtained using the new procedure, can be used to estimate the end-of-secondary compression line.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
