Abstract
Al di là delle classificazioni generiche apparenti, il fattore strutturante comune all’insieme dell’opera di Sciascia è, secondo noi, quello del meccanismo dell’inchiesta.Sia esso mutuato dalla forma letterariamente “impura” del giallo i cui codici generici e simbolici sono usati à contre-emploi dallo scrittore, o da quella, di matrice manzoniana, della ricerca filologico-storica su documenti d’archivio, oppure da quella borgesiana del cruciverba letterario, tale meccanismo è quello della ricerca della Verità che, sola, può permettere di ripristinare la Giustizia con l’aiuto degli strumenti della Ragione allo scopo di elaborare una contro-narrazione di fronte alla manomissione da parte del Potere – politico, religioso, mediatico – delle Grandi Narrazioni che strutturavano la storia e la cultura classica.
