KARAKTERISTIK GELOMBANG DI PERAIRAN TIMUR KECAMATAN KULISUSU UTARA KABUPATEN BUTON UTARA

Abstract
Kecamatan Kulisusu Utara merupakan salah satu Kecamatan yang terdapat di Kabupaten Buton Utara yang memiliki luas wilayah 339,64 km2 yang terdiri dari empat belas desa yang mana wilayahnya berhadapan dengan laut banda. Kulisusu Utara memiliki beberapa desa yang berpotensi mengalami abrasi serta kerusakan fasilitas, seperti bangunan rumah, dan akses jalanan. Penelitian ini di lakukan bertujuan untuk menggetahui karakteristik gelombang berupa tinggi, periode dan transformasi gelombang lima tahun berdasarkan kecepatan angin selama tahun (2016-2020) di perairan Kulisusu Utara Buton Utara. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2020- Desember 2021 di perairan Kulisusu Utara. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode Sverdrup-Munk-Bretchneider (SMB) untuk mendapatkan informasi kondisi gelombang dominan pada daerah penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai perhitungan tinggi gelombang signifikan dan periode gelombang pada arah Timur memiliki tinggi signifikan 3.27 m dan 9.26 detik. Sedangkan tinggi gelombang dan periode gelombang pada arah Tenggara memiliki tinggi gelombang signifikan 2.93 m dan 7.51 detik. Transformasi gelombang diperoleh dari arah Timur pada saat gelombang merambat dari laut dalam menuju pantai mengalami perubahan tinggi gelombang, kemudian mendekati garis pantai tinggi gelombang akan meningkat sampai akhirnya pecah, serta mengalami pembelokan arah gelombang.Kata kunci: Karakteristik Gelombang, Kulisusu Utara, Metode SBM
