L’article porte sur la représentation des violences sexuelles et du consentement dans les séries télévisées contemporaines. Il présente d’abord une brève explication de la culture du viol pour ensuite montrer comment la série britannique I May Destroy You dénonce cette culture. L’article aborde ensuite l’opposition entre male gaze et female gaze en prenant comme exemple la série américaine Grand Army . Si le female gaze s’inscrit parfois dans le motif du Rape and Revenge présent au cinéma dans un film comme Thelma &amp; Louise , on retrouve également ce motif dans certaines séries télévisées. C’est ce que l’article examine à partir de la série britannique Sex Education . Enfin, l’article propose de lire ce motif de la vengeance à l’aune de la notion de snap féministe, telle que théorisée par Sara Ahmed.
