Abstract
Cet article porte sur le rôle joué par les milieux alternatifs de scolarisation (MAS) dans les parcours d’apprentissage des jeunes adultes au Québec. Les MAS sont des établissements qui accueillent et scolarisent des élèves de 16 ans et plus ayant interrompu leur parcours d’enseignement régulier et se trouvant en situation de vulnérabilité. La réflexion s’appuie sur des études de cas dans trois MAS: une école de la rue, une école privée et un organisme de raccrochage scolaire. Elle s’articule autour des stratégies mises en place par les acteurs et actrices des MAS. La trame narrative souligne en quoi certaines pratiques proximales d’accompagnement permettent de s’adapter aux parcours non linéaires des élèves, les distinguant des établissements classiques comme les centres d’éducation des adultes.
