Abstract
Esta pesquisa possui como tema central, investigar o fenômeno da bruxaria histórica europeia e a perseguição às bruxas na Europa Ocidental do século XV. Para tanto, fora utilizado o livro “Malleus Maleficarum”, ou “O Martelo das Feiticeiras”, escrito pelos inquisidores Heinrich Kramer e James Sprenger, como fonte histórica para abordar o período em questão. Passando por análises relacionadas às disciplinas de História e Direito, procurou-se estabelecer uma interdisciplinaridade entre estas, de forma a elucidar aspectos que envolveram a “caça às bruxas” e compreender os motivos que ensejaram pessoas a acreditarem na sua existência, bem como identificá-las como inimigo passível de ser expurgado da sociedade.
