Abstract
Le dogme économique incontesté qui soutient une croissance illimitée est en train de fragiliser non seulement les écosystèmes du vivant, mais les bases même de notre civilisation, ouvrant grand la porte à un « effondrement » au cours du prochain siècle. Les signes de cette dégradation systémique se font déjà sentir dans toutes les dimensions de nos sociétés. Nous ne pouvons vivre en dehors de la nature qui nous supporte ; le projet humain ne peut réussir sans la Terre. Ce contexte devrait déterminer toute tâche intellectuelle, en particulier celle des croyantes et des croyants qui s’inscrivent dans un horizon de sens, lequel serait profondément bouleversé. Il devient alors impératif de réfléchir aux conditions d’exercice de nos disciplines (exégétique et théologique) en situation d’une raréfaction de ressources et d’une remise en question radicale d’un mode de vie mortifère.
