Abstract
Prezados/as leitores/as!A obra que se apresenta trata de temáticas relacionadas ao desenvolvimento sustentável e seus desdobramentos na atualidade, temáticas essas permeadas por desafios em tornar o mundo um lugar onde às pessoas possam desfrutar de uma vida digna e com prosperidade.Os desafios que congregam o desenvolvimento sustentável são de longa data tratados e debatidos por diversos autores e estudiosos da área, portanto a obra que se apresenta representa uma pequena contribuição neste vasto universo.A preocupação das Nações Unidas em tornar o mundo até 2030 melhor para todos os povos e nações está estabelecido em 17 objetivos para o desenvolvimento sustentável.Estes objetivos buscam dar responsividade as Instituições políticas e promover o Estado de Direito, principalmente àqueles que congregam os direitos humanos, buscando com isso ações concretas, por meio de políticas públicas, que foquem principalmente no atendimento das pessoas mais vulneráveis.O conteúdo com maior abrangência nessa obra diz respeito às alterações climáticas, na água potável e saneamento e na sustentabilidade de cidades e comunidades, objetivos elencados na Agenda 2030.O que também reverbera na educação e seus meandros, inclusive da formação de pessoas conscientes do lugar onde vivem e do quanto suas ações/decisões podem interferir para um efetivo desenvolvimento sustentável ou não.O cumprimento dos 17 objetivos possibilita criar soluções em longo prazo, para os aspectos sociais, econômicos e ambientais dos países, por isso uma temática tão cara e ampla que deve agregar todas as esferas governamentais de uma nação.
