Un nouveau test pour évaluer le vocabulaire productif des étudiants de français langue seconde et étrangère : Lex30-F

Abstract
Une recension de la littérature scientifique sur l’évaluation du vocabulaire productif des étudiants de langue seconde et étrangère nous montre que, tandis que pour l’anglais il existe des propositions de tests reposant sur des critères variés et analysant des dimensions différentes, pour le français, les options ne sont pas nombreuses. Cette étude, qui propose une adaptation au français du test Lex30, conçu pour l’anglais par Meara et Fitzpatrick (2000) , vise à combler la lacune existante dans ce domaine. Les résultats de l’étude pilote réalisée auprès de 61 participants espagnols, étudiants de français dans une école officielle des langues, confirment la validité de la version adaptée au français du Lex30 : le test démontre un niveau moyen de validité concurrente, les corrélations dans les épreuves de tests-retest et des formes parallèles sont très fortes, et les étudiants des niveaux avancés produisent plus de mots que ceux qui se trouvent dans des niveaux moins avancés, si bien que les différences ne sont pas significatives entre tous les groupes. On considère, par conséquent, le Lex30-F comme un outil valide pour l’évaluation du vocabulaire productif en français. Dans les conclusions, nous présenterons quelques axes de recherches futures.
