Abstract
Cet article se propose d’interroger la question du support matériel de l’écriture dans le dialogue entre Francis Ponge et André du Bouchet en prenant appui sur un texte d’hommage de ce dernier, intitulé « À côté de quelques mots relevés chez Francis Ponge », publié dans les Cahiers de l’Herne consacrés à l’auteur du Parti pris des choses en 1986. Ce texte d’André du Bouchet est une méditation à partir de sa lecture de La Table, le dernier des grands dossiers pongiens publié en 1981 à Montréal. Dans cet écrit « testamentaire » (Sophie Coste), Ponge rend hommage au support matériel de son écriture, cette table sur laquelle son œuvre a été écrite, pour y chercher une « consolation », voire une « consolidation ». Dans sa lecture de ce texte, André du Bouchet tend quant à lui à mettre l’accent sur la fragilité de cette « consolidation », à chercher ce qui dans le texte de Ponge rend le support à son mouvement, à son déplacement, celui d’une parole poétique inscrite dans l’éphémère.
