Os direitos reais consistem em um conjunto de princípios e normas que disciplinam a relação jurídica referente às coisas suscetíveis de apropriação pelo homem, possuindo capítulo exclusivo no Código Civil, tendo em vista a sua grande importância e aplicabilidade no ordenamento jurídico brasileiro. A matéria registral é a parte do direito que confere fé pública aos registros de imóveis, sendo ela pautada por alguns princípios norteadores, assumindo cada um deles a função de contribuir para a formação da fé pública dada ao que é registrado em cartório. A pesquisa que subsidiou a construção do artigo foi realizada no 1º Registro de Imóveis do Recife, localizado no Estado de Pernambuco. Palavras-chave: Direitos Reais. Direito de Propriedade.
