Abstract
Malgré la mise en place de mécanismes d’implication des communautés locales dans la gestion des forêts, la territorialisation des dispositifs de participation et la mobilisation des ONG, reste à savoir si les communautés autochtones sont de véritables acteurs de la gouvernance forestière dans le bassin du Congo. Entre les thèses qui posent l’instrumentalisation de l’autochtonie comme rente de fond et celles qui critiquent le manque d’approche ascendante ( bottom-up ) avec l’implication véritable des Autochtones dans le débat concernant leurs droits sur les forêts, la construction d’un mode de gouvernance autochtone apparaît comme l’élément clef de la mise en place d’un modèle de gouvernance forestière concertée impliquant toutes les parties prenantes. À partir de l’exégèse du droit et de l’étude de la littérature sur la question, cet article amorce une réflexion sur les voies d’une gouvernance autochtone au Cameroun. L’analyse institutionnelle et sociologique de l’implication des communautés dans la gestion des forêts au Cameroun démontre à quel point l’émergence d’une action collective autochtone est importante pour que les communautés Bakola et Bagyéli deviennent de véritables acteurs de la gestion des forêts au Cameroun.
