Abstract
This article consists of a visual journey from College Street in Toronto's Little Italy to Campo de' Fiori in Rome: a journey that has taken me some thirty years, with stops along the way to take pictures of skyscrapers being built by immigrants; the garment factories of Spadina Avenue; community picnics on Centre Island; the ritualistic festivities of Good Friday Procession one day, and protest marches at the legislative buildings the next; tobacco farms of Delhi, Ontario; automobile assembly plants in Windsor; a gold mine in Yellowknife; crab fishing in the North Atlantic; subsistence farmers in Mexico, and Jamaica; and
