Abstract
O fenômeno da globalização, observado após o encerramento da Guerra Fria, trouxe consigo a "globalização do crime", elevando a criminalidade organizada a bases transnacionais, sem que o arranjo institucional persecutório tenha se reestruturado à altura de responder ao desafio.A divulgação da magnitude das movimentações financeiras suspeitas nos casos Swiss Leaks e Panama Papers chamou atenção para a emergência do tratamento dessa questão.Nesse contexto, sobreleva em importância a garantia do direito à informação e da imprensa livre, em sua dupla fundamentação (individual e institucional), como meio indispensável de colaboração para a elucidação de ilicitudes, sem perder de vista seus limites e os cuidados para ponderá-la frente a outros direitos fundamentais.
