Abstract
When I was young, I dreamed of travelling.I had other dreams as well, but the idea of travelling was powerful-Jupiter in tenth house, my astrologer friends say leads to a life of travels.Because of this dream, and perhaps because of Jupiter, I am now someone who lives between two countries, Canada and Italy, and two continents, America and Europe.I lived and worked in three different countries: in Italy, where I was born and did my undergraduate studies, in the United States, where I studied and grew intellectually. Now I am in Canada, where I write and teach.Did I dream of becoming an intellectual, of working with my mind, of carrying my computer with me all the time? There were no computers when I was growing up, but I did aspire to a life of writing.Edward Said wrote: "An intellectual is like a shipwrecked person [...]Not like Robinson Crusoe whose goal is to colonize his little island, but more like Marco Polo, whose sense of the marvelous never fails him, and who is always a traveler, a provisional guest, not a freeloader, conqueror or raider" (44).
Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.
Full frame distilled prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from it
