Abstract
У статті надано історію листовних взаємин двох яскравих представників української еміграції, а саме: Павла Маценка і Юрія Фіали, яка тривала з 1947 по 1973 рр. Листування осіб за змістом майже повністю пов’язане з особою Юрія Фіали, починаючи з організації його переїзду до Канади. Тексти листів допомагають зануритися у світ двох адресатів. У даному тандемі Павло Маценко переважно зосереджений на вирішенні проблем Юрія Фіали. Та прагнучи допомогти своєму молодшому колезі, він мимоволі подає цінну інформацію, яка стосується його власного життя. Тексти листів викликають зацікавлення як в інформативному плані, так і своєю емоційною складовою, що відіграє тут роль своєрідної дактилоскопії характерів: дещо егоцентричний та емоційний, часами екзальтований тон вислову Юрія Фіали і виважена доброзичливість Павла Маценка, його постійна готовність до підтримки.
