Abstract
A Integração Sensorial é um processo neurológico natural, através do qual o indivíduo identifica, percebe, interpreta e organiza suas respostas para as demandas do cotidiano (AYRES, 1972). A terapeuta ocupacional Jean Ayres, a partir de conhecimentos, estudos e observações acerca da neurociência sobre os processos naturais dos sistemas sensoriais, elaborou, a partir destes conceitos, preceitos teóricos para compreender o processamento sensorial de crianças com dificuldades de aprendizagem.
