Abstract
O professor Claude Lessard é doutor em educação pela Universidade de Toronto (Canadá) e desempenhou grande parte de suas atividades profissionais na Faculdade de Educação da Universidade de Montreal. Ele é um dos autores de língua francesa mais conhecidos na área de política e administração escolar, sendo que, no Brasil, tornou-se muito conhecido por suas pesquisas sobre o trabalho docente, em parceria com o professor Maurice Tardif. Desde setembro de 2011, Claude Lessard é presidente eleito do Conselho Superior de Educação do Quebec, para um mandato de quatro anos. Esta entrevista sobre valorização docente foi concedida a Gustavo Bruno Bicalho Gonçalves, em maio de 2012, em Montreal.
