Abstract

Einleitung Rückenmarkstrauma ist einer der führenden Ursachen für bleibende Behinderung und ein großes Problem für Gesundheitssysteme weltweit. Eine der Hauptfaktoren in der Pathophysiologie ist die traumatische Öffnung der Blut-Rückenmarksschranke (BSCB). Deren Erholung spielt eine entscheidende Rolle in der strukturellen Regeneration des Rückenmarks. Diese Pathophysiologie und deren Zeitrahmen besser zu verstehen ist essenziell, um die Suche nach restaurativen Therapien voranzubringen. In der vorliegenden Arbeit charakterisieren wir die posttraumatische Öffnung und Restitution der BSCB in Bezug auf die neurologische Erholung bis zur chronischen Phase nach Rückenmarkstrauma in der Maus.
