Abstract
Dans les deux romans d’Édouard Glissant, La Lézarde et Le Quatrième Siècle, l’instance énonciative est triptyque : elle est monologique, dialogique et polyphonique. La variation des modalités énonciatives est due au discours romanesque historicisé, propre à la littérature antillaise. Pour s’affranchir d’un long silence qui pèse lourdement sur son peuple depuis la diaspora, la Traite et les conquêtes, Glissant a opté pour la médiatisation de la voix par l’écriture. Il s’agit, dans cet article, d’analyser l’énonciation comme exercice verbal et mémoriel/individuel et collectif, afin de faire face à l’amnésie, tout en décortiquant les dispositifs narratifs, actoriels et posturaux sur lesquels repose la stratégie discursive.
