Cet article s’ancre dans un travail ethnographique effectué dans des milieux urbains marocains au début des années 2000 auprès de tradipraticiens. La présente réflexion tente de faire émerger les possibles lignes de rupture et de continuité ontologique entre humains et autres qu’humains au sein d’une cosmologie islamique active dans l’espace ethnomédical marocain. L’hypothèse est que le mal, physique ou spirituel, dont souffrent les usagères et les usagers constitue un événement de rupture cosmologique que le tradipraticien tâche de réparer par une forme de reliaison ontologique puisée dans la baraka, un puits immatériel de bénédiction, ancestral et transgénérationnel, distribué à parts inégales entre humains et autres qu’humains, individus et objets. L’intervention d’animaux et d’esprits – chèvre, chat ou djinn – actualise les récits prophétiques et agiographiques tout en esquissant un réseau complexe d’intercessions à même d’activer la baraka. Un examen attentif de l’altérité humain-djinn permettra d’esquisser une conception de la subjectivité autre qu’humaine qui subvertit les canons de l’identité capsulaire dont la corporalité serait le siège.
