Abstract
O câncer infantil causa impactos na vida da criança e da família, diante disso, o papel do psicólogo utilizando a sua escuta como intervenção na oncologia pediátrica visa promover uma melhor qualidade de vida e um auxílio na construção de estratégias de enfrentamento. O objetivo deste estudo consistiu em identificar as principais contribuições da escuta psicológica na oncologia pediátrica hospitalar aos pacientes que estão em tratamento do câncer no hospital. Foi realizada revisão da literatura publicada entre 2010 e 2020, a partir da busca em bases de dados eletrônicos. Os resultados indicaram que o impacto do diagnóstico do câncer infantil repercute tanto na dimensão individual quanto familiar, e diante desse contexto a escuta psicológica, pelo olhar da Gestalt-Terapia, como intervenção dentro da oncologia pediátrica hospitalar, é fundamental de importância como suporte frente às adversidades enfrentadas. Concluiu-se que muitas mudanças ocorrem na vida da criança e da família durante o adoecimento oncológico e para uma melhor adaptação a esse contexto se fazem necessárias intervenções psicológicas através da escuta empática e de ferramentas funcionais como o lúdico que possibilitem a criação de estratégias de enfrentamento diante do adoecer.
