Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The Canadian Retina Society (CRS) is a dynamic and growing medical society that represents fellowship-trained retina specialists across Canada, as well as around the globe. The CRS provides high impact continuing medical education events for retinal specialists, offers opportunities for collaboration and networking, advocates for advancements in patient care, and fosters innovative partnerships with retinal societies globally in education, research, and advocacy. The CRS is governed by a Board of Directors and operates with the support of committee volunteers and staff.Varun Chaudhary, MD, is the newly elected President. The CRS's continuing professional development program is one of the pillars of the Society's mandate to its members. The annual scientifi c meeting will be held May 12-14, 2023, in Toronto, where the Canadian community of retina specialists, along with internationally renowned experts, will gather to share, discuss, and debate the latest advancements. The CRS has initiated a new monthly publication, Retina Digest, through which it aims to further foster knowledge translation, as well as highlight members' profi les to further increase engagement.Through a multiple-year effort championed by past CRS board members, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada approved the Area of Focused Competency recognition for the discipline of surgical retina in May 2021.This was a historical and momentous event for the fi eld in Canada as it recognizes surgical retina as a specifi c discipline within ophthalmology and medicine.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
