Abstract
En 1989, Kim Lefèvre publie sa célèbre autobiographie Métisse blanche qui relate les difficultés d’être une enfant métisse pendant la période de la colonisation française. Quelques années avant son décès en 2021, elle écrit un nouveau volet de son panorama autobiographique inspiré de la vie qu’elle a menée à Paris pendant les premiers mois de son arrivée en France en 1960. Elle appelle son manuscrit « Le territoire du père ». Ce texte inédit peut se lire en miroir avec Métisse blanche. Par rapport à l’autobiographie, il peut être considéré comme une révision des représentations de la culture française de la protagoniste. Il peut également être interprété comme une reprise enrichie du texte publié. Le manuscrit peut également être lu indépendamment, comme un texte du « choc culturel », un nouveau roman qui révèle le courage et l’indépendance de l’autrice face aux épreuves. L’étude de certains épisodes repris du texte publié et celle de deux versions d’un passage inédit concernant un séjour en Suisse nous permettront de discerner l’évolution sentimentale et stylistique de Kim Lefèvre.
