Abstract
Le osservazioni presentate in questo studio provengono da una serie di interviste condotte nella primavera del 1992 con rappresentanti della comunità .giuliano-dalmata a Toronto, e da discussioni tenute, in ambito più generale, nel corso di incontri del Club Giuliano-Dalmata di Toronto.Sebbene le interviste formali siano state poche in numero, esse risultano importanti perché fatte a persone il cui interesse e la cui conoscenza della comunità sono esemplari -1 dirigenti del Club Giuliano-Dalmata di Toronto.Mi sono limitato a questo gruppo e a questa associazione per diverse ragioni.Prima di tutto, si tratta di un gruppo ben identificabile, rappresentativo della comunità, aggiornato sulla situazione presente e passata del proprio gruppo etnico, conscio dei fattori che ne condizionano il futuro, e fortemente interessato al benessere e alla sopravvivenza della propria comunità.Si tratta, inoltre, di dirigenti dell'associazione che, al tempo
